The Cots for Tots Appeal is the special care baby charity for sick and premature babies at Bristol’s Special Care Baby Unit at St Michael’s Hospital.
The Cots for Tots Appeal raises funds to help save babies lives – from those born as early as 23 weeks to babies requiring life-saving treatment and care when they are born. Our Cots for Tots Intensive Care Suite has 4 four cots and life-saving equipment and helps to treat the 750 babies every year from all over Bristol, the South West and South Wales who need the life-saving care the Unit at St Michael’s Hospital provides.
The Cots for Tots Appeal created and runs Cots for Tots House, the 12 bed purpose-designed family accommodation, minutes from the Special Care Baby Unit, which is open 365 days per day to provide free accommodation to the families of premature and critically ill babies.
Our support for special care babies can only continue with your help. Please get involved and help raise raise funds so that we make sure that the special care baby unit has the pioneering medical facilities required to help save more babies’ lives. We receive no statutory or NHS funding, but we are overwhelmed with the support of the community, families, companies and philanthropic organisations. Please get in touch to help.
The Cots for Tots Appeal is part of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal which raises funds to support sick patients in Bristol Children’s Hospital.
The Grand Appeal’s fundraising is spearheaded by Aardman Animations’ Wallace & Gromit characters, in a fantastic long-standing 20 year partnership. We are so thankful for the generosity of Aardman’s Directors, and Trustees of our charity, Nick Park, Peter Lord and David Sproxton – as well as the staff at Aardman who give so generously of their time to support our cause.
